Whattay Race !!!

One of those races where you come out knowing that you probably witnessed one of the most event filled races in history. Also that the best driver did not come close to podium. But for all of us who were watching the race together - not just McLaren fans & more importantly the Ferrari fans included - Hamilton was the hero. There was only one idea floating around - when shall Hamilton shift to Ferrari and rewrite F1 history. Atleast we (Ferrari fans) hope it is not long before he shifts !! ;)...

Congrats Alonso - great stuff ; but Hamilton remains the champion.

Added later (Not connected to the first half of the post!!)

For those interested in debates of what is art, what is photography and ethics of digital manipulations have a look here..I personally have no major issues with his pics..it is indeed good art. Some people have issues since the photographer Rarindra purportedly wrote that he seldom alters the lighting and bokeh in Photoshop or similar softwares. It def has an oil painting look and the kind of surrealism that he has "created" is probably not close to physical truth at the time and space that the shot was clicked. Truth defined in the world of photography and Feynmans laws of lights. It definitely is good work of art - even in PS I would not be able to create 1/100th of what the guy has done:). What is, by the way, truth in art ?

Without doubt - It was more a fiasco less a race. With more than 14 drivers skidding in the first 3 laps and 6 out of them on the same turn in tandem.... Hamilton drove like an enigma - the way he outpaced people in front of him was simply superb and it reminds me of the way Schumi used to crush competitors... Flat tyres, poor performaning car , be it anything... the racer within always shows his mettle.. Alonso rode a lil on luck with the blue flag reducing the gap from 5.4 sec to 1.8 btw him n massa and truly speaking Massa never had the fire to fight him.... Ferrari fans indeed waiting for the Brit's shift to azuri bkyard....

pheww... you can see the unfailing 'boy' enthu for 'the race'(ok whatever you muttered save it - I meant boy in every man :P). Thanks for the aferthought, latter half of the post

..... and thats what I meant when I said get 'rustic'. Can I take a shot at my view of truth in art for your photography?... its that moment in time when spontaniety is captured by your lens, a practiced veteran seeker will recognise the virtual line defining this moment from the conscious. D'you get me?? Play it in slow motion... that moment of truth in a smile that is spontaneous comes from the heart reaches the eye... and then its held on to a performed act. You need to catch the simple unplanned act. Man I'd love to see what you can do with that! Try not to focus too much on technicality. His lighting effects pics look like studio/stage set up with those effects and not real photography.

Hey Suhas, visited the site...
how can the surreal world of technology tampering with reality be appealing to a photographer? digitalised enhancements look good on pc, or postcard or wall hanging that's commercialising art and not for the love of art.
In photography,'Truth' lies in the eyes of the cameraman not in the fingers of the IT expert.

just to add to my earlier comment...;-)) (pardonner)
those pics look like Asimov's perfect world of robots not the beautiful world of human imperfection where photography originated. Have I said enuff expressing my preference :D

The pictures are beautiful and thanks for bringing it to the notice of others by pasting a link. I guess anything that appeals to the eyes and the senses is art, irrespective of the medium of potrayal. The pics with little boys remind me of Frost's birches...

How about this?

Hamilton is certainly a phenomenon..His emergence has really put down all poor-engine criticism heaped on McLaren during last season becoz of Raikkonen's frequent crashes :)

PS - I'm a McLaren fan :)
